We are offering a unique program in Outdoor Education. Students will use our campground as their base, while they explore and learn on-site and "hands-on" science, the biology of a Nebraska biome, and visit historical sites, all within 30 minutes from the camp. • Birds native to Nebraska, including the American Bald Eagle and the Golden Eagle
• A Nebraska lake biome
• Native Americans of the area

• Ash Hollow - Historical landmark, Oregon Trail, Indian Camp.
• Bald Eagle Viewing Center at Kingsley Dam - Along with the Bald Eagle, the reservoir and the surrounding environs attracts the largest most diverse bird populations documented in the United States.
• Boot Hill - Famous Cowboy Cemetery.
• Haythorn Ranch - Largest breeder of Quarter Horses in the U.S. - tours available.
• Mansion on the Hill Museum - 1887 Victorian mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
• Lake McConaughy Visitor/Water Interpretive Center - Nebraska's 1st water museum interprets the significance of water to Nebraska, past, present and future. Aquarium and 50 seat theater.
• Petrified Wood Gallery - Features an array of pictures and music boxes made from tiny pieces of petrified wood. Polished rocks, rounds, spheres, gems, minerals as well as arrowheads and Indian artifacts collected over forty years.
• Courthouse Museum - Listed by Ripley's "Believe it or Not" as the world's smallest courthouse. Located in Arthur.
