Kenfield Petrified Wood Gallery
Ogallala’s Petrified Wood Gallery features an impressive
array of pictures and music boxes made from tiny pieces of
petrified wood, and a large assortment of polished rocks,
rounds, spheres, and carvings. The gallery contains a
selection of gems and minerals as well as arrowheads and
Indian artifacts collected over forty years by twin brothers
Harvey and Howard Kenfield. The new location, next to Front
Street on East Highway 30, is complete and reopened July
3rd, 2000. Year round hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday
through Saturday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. A free will
donation is accepted for admission.
